Hip Hop
II - 8-9 Year Olds and Up (1 hour)
Hip hop is
an energetic way to learn new, hip moves and have fun at
the same time. At this level students are introduced to
the style and feel of hip hop dance. Each class period
includes a quick warm up and then moves into
combinations across the floor. Students are taught to
remember basic steps up to full 16-8 count combinations.
Hip Hop II is the introductory level for hip hop at the
Academy. Students younger than eight years old are
encouraged to take Jazz I classes prior to reaching the
minimum age for hip hop.

Beginning Adult Hip Hop - Adults of All Ages (1 hour)
This class
is designed for adults with little to no dance training.
It is a fun, free-to-let-yourself-go kind of class. The
goal of this class is to provide choreography in which
each dancer will be able to add their own personal style
and attitude. Most of all, the class is designed for
people to feel comfortable (you must be able to laugh at
yourself sometimes!) Routines are usually repeated every
two weeks, allowing students to build on their past week
of experience.
