Pre-Musical Theater - 5-6 Year Olds (45 minutes)

This class teaches younger children what musical theater is and what it involves. The students experience basic acting exercises, learn songs from musical theater shows, and learn introductory dances and stage movements that will prepare them for future auditions and performances.

Musical Theater I - 6-8 Year Olds (1 hour)

This class teaches and prepares children for full participation in Musical Theater.
The children learn about the different aspects of musical theater and prepare them for auditions and performances. They learn song and dance numbers, participate in mock auditions as well as improvisation and acting activities. The difficulty level increases as the students progress.

Musical Theater II - 8-9 Year Olds and Up (1 hour)

This class further prepares students for auditions and performances. The students work on building their confidence and showmanship through learning song and dance numbers typically performed in musicals. They will also use improvisational exercises for self -discovery, character interpretation and expression of individuality.

Theater Workshop III/IV - 11-12 Year Olds and Up (1 hour)

This program provides young actors who have had some prior theatrical training with opportunities to create stories though monologues, writing dialogue, blocking and setting a scene. The students explore a variety of different theatrical subjects in this workshop setting including improvisation, character development, musical theater, Shakespeare, and more. To provide the highest quality program the class is taught by a variety of talented, specialized instructors who rotate throughout the year.
